Individual Therapy

Therapy can be provided either through a short term, goal oriented approach, or through a more intensive approach which would focus on improving mood, relationships and behavior.

Anxiety, depression and anger issues can be effectively addressed in psychotherapy.
Work and career related issues are also an important focus. The goal of therapy is to help people to overcome obstacles which are interfering with their lives.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy can help with communication, conflict, emotional intimacy, and rebuilding trust in troubled relationships.

In treatment, Susan will help couples to develop the tools toward lasting solutions and positive change. She has worked with couples from many cultural and ethnic backgrounds, and she is attuned to integrating cultural issues into her work.

Family Therapy

Throughout the life cycle many families experience difficulty especially during times of transition. Therapy can help parents deal with the stress of raising infants and young children, navigate the challenge of adolescence, and improve relationships with adult children. It can help to guide families through issues related to retirement, aging parents, and care giving.

Family therapy can improve communication among family members, strengthen the capacity for problem solving, and improve functioning during crisis.

Susan will guide individuals, couples and families toward building solutions in a safe and compassionate environment.
